Yellow Jersey Cycling Holidays

Sir Bradley Wiggins, Sir Mark Cavendish & TeamSky visit Strickland Arms

Discover Cumbria's most stunning cycling routes

Nothing beats exploring Britain's countryside by bike. That is why our goal is to make cycling through our beautiful northern corner of the country as accessible and as comfortable as possible.

Launched in November 2012, Yellow Jersey Cycling Holiday's was inspired by Team Sky's visit to our pub on their victory lap of Britain after their successful Tour de France competition.

Yellow Jersey Cycling offers arranged B&B accommodation and meals for those doing the Coast2Coast cycle route and/or those wishing to cycle around the Eden Valley and need a place to tuck in and store bikes overnight. We will also help you arrange transfers throughout your journey.

Owners Anton and Penny Flaherty have created two of their own published routes in the area. These are:

1) "Wiggo's Way" - an approved alternative route on the C2C route or enjoyable day ride from the pub

2) "Yellow Jersey TDF 2012 Loop around Penrith, Ullswater and Lowther" - cycle in the tracks of Sir Bradley Wiggins on his Tour de France victory tour.

-

Using the Strickland Arms pub as your base, where lock-up facilities, tire pumps and a hose to wash the bikes down are available, Yellow Jersey Cycling Holiday's makes cycling through some of the north of England's most stunning areas that bit more accessible - and comfortable!
